Additions in the +R Version | ||
Upon applying the patch, the following functionality will be added. | ||
Title Screen |
Added the “+R” Version. | The “+R” Title Screen will be applied. Also, the HUD on all battle screens will be changed to match the latest “+R” Version. |
Battle Screen |
The latest game balances will be added. | When set to “+R” Mode, the latest character balances, as well as HUD visuals will be brought up-to-date. |
Help & Options |
The ability to switch between versions. | A new option will be added to the “Game Settings”, which allows players to choose between “AC” or “+R” Versions of the game. |
Each Mode |
Added the “+R” Version. | When “+R” is chosen, every subsequent mode in the game will use the “+R” tuning, etc. |
Ranked Match |
“Kliff” and “Justice” join the fight | When the game version is set to “+R”, the normal versions of characters, “Kliff” and “Justice” will become available. |
Player Match |
Using “Kliff” and “Justice” | When the game version is set to “+R”, “Kliff” and “Justice” will become usable in all sessions (rooms). |
Ranking |
Added the “+R” Version Scoreboard | A new ranking board for “+R” matches will be added.** Boards for the existing version will continue to persist. |
Improvements to Usability | ||
Upon applying the patch, the following improvements will be applied automatically. | ||
Chara Select Screen |
Intelligent Cursor | When transitioning to the character select screen, the cursor will automatically move to the character that was selected last. Furthermore, the cursor will automatically flip to the proper color palette selected previously. |
Network |
Improved Search Functionality | The “Area Designation” and “Connection Speed” filtering functions for network matches have been improved drastically. |
Ranked Matches | Improved Match-Making | Improved the time it takes to find a suitable match for players, as well as, accuracy of matching players with near-skilled opponents. Also, the game will attempt to retry finding opponents during a custom search. ** This can be cancelled if no opponent is found. |
Added a UI on the Prep Screen | Once a match is found, there is now an icon displaying the connection quality between the paired opponents. | |
Added sound and controller vibration to the Prep Screen | There will be a sound effect, voice notification, and controller vibration whenever a suitable match is found, allowing the player to do other tasks while awaiting a match. | |
Session Connectivity Improvements | When the opponent disconnects from the match, the room will still be maintained. | |
Player Match | Improved Room Searching Functionality | The game will attempt to retry finding opponents during a custom search. ** This can be cancelled if no opponent is found. |
Added sound and controller vibration to the Lobby | There will be a sound effect, voice notification, and controller vibration whenever a new player joins the lobby. | |

Others | Added the ability to take screenshots | Players will now be able to take and save screen shots of the game, using the Screenshot Utility. In order to take a screenshot, players must press the PS Button and proceed to the “photo” row in the XMB menu, and select “Save Screenshot”. Follow the prompts, and proceed to save the screenshot.Players can take screenshots in all modes except network modes. Also, in order to fully take advantage of the screenshot functionality, the game will automatically pause when the XMB menu is active. (** This rule does not apply in network or movie playback modes.) |
Other misc. bugs | Addressed a number of issues that have been discovered post-release of the title. |
■ How to capture Screenshots(1) Press the PS HOME Button the moment you wish to make a screen capture. The game will automatically pause.(2) Select the option to “Save Screenshot” in the “Photo” column of the XMB™ Menu.Follow the remaining prompts to successfully save your image.
