General Questions
1. Can I only participate in tournaments in the region of my residence?
You are encouraged to enter any tournament you like. However, you must register using the same name so that your points allocate to the same place. Known abusers of this policy may be disqualified.
2. Can BBTAG be run as 3/5 instead of 2/3?
The tournament organizers are able to run BBTAG matches in either format.
3. Is Japan included in the Asia region?
Japan is a separate region from Asia. There are four regions total: North & Latin Americas, Europe, Asia, and Japan.
4. Will more tournaments be announced as ARCREVO stops?
There may or may not be additional stops added. We’ll make sure to give ample time for announcements.
5. Can my tournament be included as an additional ARCREVO stop?
We have identified most of the tournaments for this year, but you are welcome to tweet at us @ArcSystemWorksU to drive awareness of your event for future tours.
6. What happens when the winner has already qualified for ARCREVO Finals in an earlier tournament?
The invitation to finals is then extended to 2nd place, and goes on in ranking order until a finalist is identified.
7. How do the invitations work?
Travel to ARCREVO America 2019 Finals is currently offered to:
(1) The first place winner for each tournament
(2) The highest ranking point holder for each region (If highest point holder is already a qualified winner, or if the holder declines the offer, then the offer is passed down the rankings.)
About AWP (ARCREVO World Points)
1. Why does the 1st place winner get AWP?
AWP will be used for seeding purposes in the ARCREVO America 2019 finals
2. How are points awarded to players residing in regions other than the tournament (e.g. JP player goes to UK’s Revolution)?
AWP is awarded toward the player’s region of residence, not where the tournament is held.
However, the winner’s slot for each tournament has no regional restrictions. The 1st place winner of each tournament will be invited, regardless of the player’s region of residence.
3. How are points awarded for 5th/6th and 7th/8th (for double elimination)?
In the event where 2 or more players are tied for the same placing, each player will be awarded the same amount of points in according to their placing. (For example, if two players are tied for 5th place, they will both receive 5th place points (130 AWP.))
