Arc System Works America, Inc. is excited to announce the launch of DAMON and BABY, the new top-down shooter action-adventure game, available on Nintendo Switch™, PlayStation®5, PlayStation®4, and Steam®. In addition, a roadmap for free title updates has been shared by the developers
DAMON and BABY brings a new kind of action-adventure mixing gun action, exploration, and a heartwarming story. The game follows Damon, a demon lord who finds himself magically bound to a mysterious child, as he embarks on an adventure to break that curse. This new action-adventure game combines exploration-based action across a vast world with the precise shooting capabilities of a twin-stick shooter. Players will alternate between enhancing their base of operations and exploring, utilizing a variety of weapons such as handguns and machine guns to take on strategic boss battles. Skill customization and abundant costume options allow adventuring through their own unique play style and visuals. Furthermore, offline two-player co-op is supported, where players control a dog companion to collect items and assist in combat. Enjoy the story of the “demon lord with a child” as he goes through this vast world!
DAMON and BABY gameplay features include the following:
- Gameplay Loop: Cycle between exploration and upgrading your base.
- Combat: Master handguns, machine guns, and diverse weaponry for strategic boss battles.
- Customization: Tailor your playstyle with skill trees and extensive character outfits.
- Co-Op: Supports 2-player offline local co-op. The second player controls a canine companion to collect items and assist in combat.
Following initial player feedback from free early demos across all platforms, the Arc System Works development team has also unveiled a DAMON and BABY Free Title Update Roadmap alongside a special message from the developers. This lays out plans for successive game updates, ranging from subtle improvements based on valuable feedback from players to major content additions that further expand the game’s world.

DAMON and BABY is available now for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and Steam. The digital-only Deluxe Edition includes the base game, “Digital Artwork” featuring concept sketches by Executive Director/Game Designer Daisuke Ishiwatari, and the official soundtrack. DAMON and BABY’s Nintendo eShop, PlayStation Store, and Steam Store pages are now live.
